Go to Rental.
Select your vehicle.
On the vehicle page, select the collection point and the rental period.

Over the phone
During opening hours, we are always available by telephone to make a reservation. We can immediately inform you if the car is available and give you a price quote. If you wish to reserve the car, we will record your information and complete the reservation.

You can always make a reservation on the spot, you can find our address on the contact page.
Can I rent a vehicle on a Sunday or public holiday?
Yes, renting a car on a Sunday or public holiday is possible. For this, you need to fill in the reservation form on our website with the desired day. We will then contact you to arrange when the vehicle can be collected. Depending on availability, this might be the evening before.
Is it possible to extend my reservation?
Can I adjust the length of the rental period?
You can only extend the vehicle by contacting the pick-up location where you picked up the vehicle. The extension is only final as soon as it is confirmed by e-mail.
What is included in the rental price?
Including the rental price:
Civil Liability (BA) with an exemption (franchise) of €500.
Fully omnium insurance with an exemption of 3% of the catalog value.
A large number of free kilometers depends on the rental period and the type of vehicle.
Car breakdown assistance within Europe (list of countries – see under question Can I drive with the vehicle abroad?) and this 24/7.

Reparation and breakdown assistance. Breakdown assistance is only included if it concerns a technical fault on the vehicle. In the event of an error caused by the renter, a surcharge for breakdown assistance will be charged, depending on the location and time of the breakdown.
Excluding the rental price:
Fuel: the fuel tank is full when the vehicle is picked up and must be filled again when the vehicle is returned. If you are unable to refuel, we will refuel the vehicle for you. The price of this refueling will be added to the final invoice.
The vehicle is expected to be returned clean on the inside and outside. Basic cleaning is provided by us. If the vehicle is not returned neatly, an additional cost will be charged for cleaning.
Options (eg a moving package, ski box, ...) are not included in the rental price.
Deposit: the deposit must be paid upon collection. This can be done with cash, ban contact, or credit card. The amount of the deposit depends on the vehicle.
What to do in case of a breakdown or accident?
In the event of a car breakdown:

Take enough pictures of the accident.
Fill in the European Accident Statement. The European Accident Statement is located in the glove box and must always be filled in completely. If it has not been completed or has been filled in incorrectly, then the full responsibility for damage to the vehicle or third parties may be your responsibility. Click here for more information.
Can the rental of a vehicle be booked as an expense for my company?
A part of the car costs for the rental of a car can be deducted from the corporate tax. This deduction percentage depends on the CO2 emissions per kilometer. Our environmentally friendly cars with low CO2 emissions are more attractive from a tax point of view. Information about CO2 emissions can be requested in the headquarter. This information is also mentioned on the invoice.
What is the Benefit in kind (BIK) for a rental car?
When an employer makes a company car available to his employees, the part of the vehicle used intended for personal use is subject to tax. This is known as a benefit in kind, which is calculated on the basis of the catalog value, first registration, fuel, and the CO2 emissions of the vehicle. The BIK of the rental vehicle is mentioned on the contract and the invoice.
What about traffic and parking fines?
Traffic fines are subject to criminal law and must be paid by the driver. The Rental Car Factory will provide the authority with the requested information. An administrative cost of €15 excl. VAT will be charged for this.
Parking fines or retributions are subject to local legislation and must be paid by the driver. To avoid extra costs, we recommend that you pay this within the payment term.
If The Rental Car Factory receives the parking fine or retributions, this will be paid by The Rental Car Factory and this amount will be transferred and charged to the customer, added by an administrative cost of €15 excl. VAT.
If you do not agree with the parking fine, you can always submit a notice of objection to the relevant municipality. Please always inform The Rental Car Factory about this. Regardless of the status of the dispute, The Rental Car Factory will always invoice the amount of the parking fine or fee. If it appears that the dispute is justified, the invoice will be credited and the amount will be refunded to the customer.
How is damage to the vehicle registered?
When the vehicle is picked up, the vehicle will be checked together. The condition of the vehicle is registered and included in the rental contract. To avoid discussions, we ask that you take photos of the vehicle on departure and arrival.
What about the vehicle insurance?
The civil liability insurance is included in the rental price with a deductible (franchise) of €500. This civil liability insurance is valid in the following countries: Andorra, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, North Macedonia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Sweden & Switzerland (Last update 01/01/2021).
Each vehicle is provided with omnium insurance with an exemption (franchise) of 3% of the catalog value.
The following damage is not covered by the omnium insurance:
Damage to the roof of the vehicle
Damage as a result of the cargo or goods being transported
Damage intentionally caused by the renter or driver
Damage as a result of gross error or negligence (e.g. drunkenness, driving through a red light, excessive speed, …)
Odor damage in the vehicle (e.g. smoking, …)
Are extra kilometers included in the rental price?
Yes! A large number of free kilometers are included. The longer you rent, the more free kilometers you get. You can find the number of kilometers and the prices for additional kilometers on the webpage or in the branch.
Is the fuel included in the rental price?
Fuel is not included in the rental price. The fuel tank is full when the vehicle is picked up and must be full again when the vehicle is returned. If you are unable to refuel, we will refuel the vehicle for you. The price of this refueling will be added to the final invoice.
Can I drive with the vehicle abroad?
Our vehicles are insured in the countries below (dated 01/01/2021). We recommend that you check the local traffic information and regulations before you travel so that you can travel abroad without any worries.

What are the payment options?
When picking up the vehicle, you can pay with cash, Bancontact or credit card (Mastercard or Visa).
The final invoice is preferably paid by bank transfer or can be paid in the branch with cash, Bancontact or credit card (Mastercard or Visa).
Can I pay with a credit card?
Yes, it is possible to pay with a credit card (Mastercard or Visa). Keep in mind that the owner of the credit card must be present when picking up the vehicle.
When will you receive the final invoice?
When returning the vehicle during opening hours, the vehicle is checked for damage and we note the mileage and fuel level. Based on this, we prepare the final invoice.
If you return the vehicle outside opening hours, the invoice will be sent at the latest a few working days after returning the vehicle.
When will I receive an invoice?
For each rental, you will receive an invoice that will be sent by e-mail, at the latest a few working days after returning the vehicle.
If you want an invoice based on a VAT number, you must inform us before the beginning of the rental period.
Does a deposit have to be paid?
A deposit must be paid with every rental. The amount of the deposit depends on the vehicle.
When and how is the deposit refunded?
The deposit is deducted from the final rental invoice. The deposit will be refunded to the customer's bank account immediately after the final invoice.
If you have paid the deposit in cash and you also wish to receive it back in cash, you must mention this upon collection, otherwise, the deposit will be refunded to the specified bank account number.
How does the pickup of your vehicle work?
After reservation, you will come to collect your car at the agreed time at one of our collection points. We receive the driver's license and ID card from the driver and complete the rental agreement. After paying the deposit, we will hand you the keys. Our vehicles are always refueled and cleaned.
How does the return of a car work?
You submit a refueled vehicle at the agreed time. The vehicle is cleaned by us. We do ask you to remove all waste from the vehicle. If, due to circumstances, you cannot return the vehicle in time, please inform us by telephone.
You hand in the car during opening hours
Upon delivery, we check the vehicle and if everything is in good condition, you will receive your guarantee back. We then determine the total rental price of the vehicle based on the number of kilometers driven. Payment is made on-site and you will receive your invoice via e-mail shortly after submission.
You hand in the car outside opening hours
You park the vehicle in the parking lot at the collection point and remove your personal belongings from the vehicle. Then close the vehicle and deposit the key in the key box. The guarantee of your vehicle will be refunded after the inspection of the vehicle.
What should I bring with me when I pick up the vehicle?
When collecting the vehicle, you must bring:
A valid identity card;
A valid driver's license;
Bank card, cash, or credit card (the owner of the credit card must be present when the vehicle is collected).
What if I want to pick up or return my rental car outside opening hours?
The collection of the vehicle outside opening hours is possible by appointment.
In the event of a return outside opening hours, park the vehicle in the parking lot at the branch and remove your personal belongings from the vehicle. Then close the vehicle and deposit the key in the key box. The deposit for your vehicle will be refunded after the vehicle has been checked. As a renter, you remain responsible for the vehicle as long as the vehicle has not been checked by an employee of The Rental Car Factory.

What type of driver's license do I need?
For all vehicles of The Rental Car Factory, you need a European driving license B.
What is the minimum age to rent a vehicle?
The driver must be at least 23 years old.
Are there costs for an additional driver?
There are no additional costs for an additional driver.
Low Emission Zones in Belgium
In Belgium, there are 3 low emission zones (Antwerp, Brussels, and Ghent) in which vehicles with a high emission of harmful substances are not allowed to enter.
The Rental Car Factory has a recent fleet of vehicles that have limited emissions. All our vehicles are allowed to enter these low emission zones.
